About Us
We are The Palms of Manasota, America's first Gay, Lesbian, and Gay-Friendly Retirement Community.
- We are located in the Tampa Bay area of sunny Florida. Palmetto, FL is conveniently nestled between St. Petersburg and Sarasota, both of which have thriving gay communities and are only minutes away!
- This is a 55+ community (at least one home owner must be 55 or older)
- Pets are allowed but must remain leashed and owners must pick up after their pets
- Monthly condo fees are currently at $445/month
- We are 21 Stand Alone homes. Pricing is determined by the selling homeowner and realtor
- We cannot send floorplans or other info as we do not have a business office
- We don't have a swimming pool or community center
The Palms of Manasota, Phase I, consists of 21 standalone homes governed by their condo association, The Palms of Manasota Condo Association (POMCA). Although it began as a gay and lesbian retirement community, now 15 of the 21 homes are gay-owned.
